Bake an extra 5 minutes for crispy wings

If you love wings that are sticky and saucy, you can serve these wings right after tossing them in the sauce. Or you can throw them back on a baking rack for an extra 5 minutes to get a little crispy and a delicious, caramelized guava flavor. I always do this extra step because then I can dip the wings in even more sauce!

Perfectly thick guava barbecue sauce

This guava barbecue sauce is sweet, smoky, and tangy with a thick, sticky texture that coats every crevasse of these chicken wings. It should be just thick enough to cling to the wings when tossing but still smooth enough to serve on the side for dipping. If it gets too thick, just add a little water while cooking until it’s just right.
