Hola,
I'm Franchesca

My Dominican Recipes Author Food Writer Chef Recipe Developer Franchesca Livraghi

I’m Dominican, raised in New Jersey, and the founder and recipe developer behind My Dominican Recipes.

I come from a Dominican Italian family, where food always meant more than just eating. It was about bringing people together, sharing stories, and making memories in the kitchen.  Those kitchen memories shaped who I am today, and they inspire every recipe I share here.

These recipes are the same Dominican dishes I grew up eating, made with the techniques and traditions passed down from my Mami and Abuela.  Over time, I began developing my own recipes and it’s become one of my favorite ways to stay connected to my roots, keep traditions alive, and making space for new ones too!

I started out just cooking at home and my love for being in the kitchen has grown into something so much bigger! Now I’m a food writer, recipe developer, photographer, and a culinary school graduate from the Institute of Culinary Education.

For me, sharing these recipes isn’t just about cooking. It’s about keeping culture alive and inviting you to bring that same spirit into your own kitchen.

Besitos :*
