Jugo de avena is like if oatmeal turned into a drink, and in Dominican Republic we love our oatmeal.

We call our oatmeal avena and we even have an avena caliente which is a hot oatmeal drink.

This oatmeal juice uses whole rolled oats (instant can work but wont be as flavorful) blended with evaporated milk and water until smooth, then chilled until ice cold.

It gets finished with a couple spoonfuls and sugar and a few limes for that perfect refreshing flavor you need on a hot day!
